What is The Marriage Enrichment Course?
The Marriage Enrichment Course is for any couple, whether you have been together for one year or 61 years and whether you feel you have a strong relationship or are struggling.
Over seven evenings spent together you will discuss practical tools to help you:
- Understand each others needs.
- Communicate more effectively.
- Grow closer through resolving conflict.
- Heal the ways you’ve hurt each other.
- Recognise how your upbringing affects your relationship.
- Improve relationships with parents and in-laws.
- Develop greater sexual intimacy.
- Discover each others love languages and much, much more.
What’s involved?
The evenings are very relaxed. There is a meal (optional) followed by short talks interspersed with exercises and questions for you to discuss together as a couple. There is no group work or open discussions, all couple conversations are held in private.
Who is it for?
While The Marriage Enrichment Course is based on Christian principles, it is designed for couples with or without a Christian faith. Many couples who are not churchgoers have commented that the Christian content was presented in a way that did not make them uncomfortable at all.
What can I expect on the course?
The course takes place one evening a week for seven weeks. A typical evening starts at 6.45pm and finishes by 9.45pm.
Fantastic atmosphere; that many say feels like a date night.
A romantic meal for two; giving you space to relax and chat. You will be served with a candlelit dinner and dessert/tea or coffee.
Practical talks; that are informative and fun, either given live or played on DVD. They include filmed clips of couples sharing thier own experience and street interviews from around the world.
Private Discussion Time; you will be given topics to discuss. Music is played to give you and other privacy.
Homework; at the end of each session you are given some homework to do together. This will help you build on what you have learnt. Don’t worry, it isn’t marked or seen by anyone else, it’s just for you to work through together.
